Let's dance

My darling sister, 
the wedding was done
and the vows had been set
and all the nerves were settled 
after months of planning
years of promises
and a lifetime of expectations. 

So, what joy it was 
to dance

to spin around each other
two families merging
under sparkle of disco ball. 

Some of us know 
the old dances.
Some of us
just move,
the beat living through us.
